T-Mobile released its iPhone pricing. While the iPhone itself seems cheaper, their 24 months contract certainly are not. For now. Until June 30 Orange offers half its monthly charge for the entire span of your contract. That’s a really great deal you’re getting – See Part 1 for further details. After that point in time, this might shift towards T-Mobile. Read this to see who wins over the homo economicus.

The iPhone costs on a 24 mo plan laid out for you...

When Apple announced the new iPhone 3GS, the all new updated version of their cellphone line, I decided I wanted this hot piece of technology.
Now, as virtually nothing is free of charge, the price tag for some iPhone Pleasure in Austria is quite astonishing and requires some calculations before you jump on the 24 months cellphone plan bandwagon.

The iPhone 3GS? You want it? See the costs involved, after the jump.
Our two options are either T-Mobile Austria (see Part 2 for a price analysis) or Orange. While T-Mobile won’t tell me what the prices are yet (Update: They did, yesterday), here are my calculations for an Orange plan that would be affordable and reasonably priced. ![]()

When people mention “The New Media”, Web 2.0 or uniformly use the term Facebook or Twitter as an umbrella term (Sillies!), you often hear about stories, videos or other online material having gone “viral.” The WTF Viral factor (as described in this post over at We Love Viral) basically describes how content gets a lot of exponentially growing attention. Person A tell his mom B and a friend C that he saw F’s dad making out with D’s secretary in the company backlot person A did an internship at. As a result mom B tells its coffee round consisting of several other moms of person D, E and F, oh and of course G who brings all the yummy cup cakes, who then,… Okay, we figured out how rumors spread, same technique, different content…
This inevitably leads to the following question. How do you get people’s attention whose childhood taught them to keep their attention span shortened to a minimum and whose radar displays only peak when several people are shot slaughtered put into a microwave and set on defrost mode having them spin on the glass table in there? … I got your attention there. Point proven. Thank you.
So to sum it up: To have things spread virally, be sure to easily connect people (coffee meet ups, Twitter, Facebook), create unique content that have as many people go “WTF” and this is where it starts getting viral “OMG I need to tell all my buddies”. Both conditions fulfilled, you will achieve a maximum of attraction and exposition. See this example. Cellphone being microwaved.
Another example just to train yourself in how to have things go viral. The Swine Flu:

This is one beautiful piece of collaboration via the universal medium of music. It shows that music doesn’t know color, doesn’t know nations and can even jump over the brick wall of culture that is still there. Rock solid, it divides people. Even though we have been connected for so long. The contributors to this music video show us what to do. Vault the brick wall. It’s what a monkey would do, so why not give it a try.
Also I recommend this video War/No More Trouble.

While I believe those quizzes are useless, I was proven wrong. It is said to be the other way around. According to the “What Subway Station Are You” Quiz, it’s me that’s useless. This quiz basically threw my self consciousness down the well and my faith went down the drain. It’s that bad.
Should someone dare inviting, challenging or requesting me to take one more test, quiz or whatnot else, I will discontinue playing fair and nicely.
I thought the “You were bitten by a Zombie! Bite Back!” days were over, but those quizzes are no better than those personality reducing forms on the interwebs.
Consider yourself warned.

What Subway Station Are You? Stubentor it told me. Btw, notice my great looking Barcelona themed profile picture.

This conversation with @stormgrass should explain why I like spending time on twitter and investing thought capacity in my conversations. It’s hilarious and is best read like a picture story.

It works with pizzas that may or may not be left behind in the oven or anything you want not to forget really. It is handy.
Siebhirn, literally translated is filter brain and this terrible thing I probably have been suffering from since I first set foot on this beautiful globe. I only keep bits of information inside my grey cells that are retainable in terms of personal interest. Hanging up my laundry is not one of the most retained to-do’s in my personal track record of accomplished things in life.
So what would I do without this handy Dashboard widget?
What kind of software do you use to fight your personal burden(s)?
