Nice ad found by Jane! I wanted to post this video a long time and tripped over it at some point. There, tell me how long it takes you to know what this ad is about… (find out after the jump)
Following my blog religiously you will probably notice that I am religiously into accents. Accents in the English speaking world are fascinating if it’s up to me. Plus, I absorb pretty much anything that teaches you how to improve your phony Texan or English accent. The video attached to this entry is full of lessons to improve your world accents.
Amy Walker did a pretty good job in covering a variety (21 to be precise) of accents. I love her Sco-ish, German and New Zealand accent. I also recommend the interview the the 21-accent-lady (it’s very captivating to hear her natural accent).
In the last couple of days I did some research on Australian and – as a consequence – New Zealand Kiwi accents (Susi’s comback from Australia) and I came across with this video that I felt obliged to share with you guys. It’s fun to see the New Zealand accent explained after dark years of Unwissen (not-knowing).
By the way. Today’s webtip is leading us to the author of this video. Miss Verständnis. Watch the video after the jump. + AN UPDATE.
Scotland is such an overwhelming place in terms of scenery, people and culture. Arriving in Edinburgh Airport I didn’t expect to enter the land of Harry Potter and kitschy old buildings that are just mesmerizing. Follow my logbook about my trip to St. Andrews including a one-day trip to Edinburgh.
Well. A lot of Austrians are not aware of their funny accent. I have to admit by myself, that I was not aware of how funny we sound to others either. So, I’ve been trying to work on my accent and so should you. (I’ll let you know if my plans work out… (@Blake: Do you have a phony British accent? I know Amanda does “There’s a booooy in the woaaaoooter…”) You get more girls that way…. Oh and by the way… My phony English accent is getting better so you guys from the city of Los Angeles better watch out. It’s just the way it… Watch this video, it is hilarious!
PS: Good luck for the oral Maturas, we have to be fine. It’s just the way it is… right?
