As some of you might notice I fixed the Umlauts-issue an update caused a week ago. Here is a quick history of events and the solutions I applied. Might not be of general interest but I hear people get themselves lost thru search engines on this page.

Fact is, Google Knows (Already)

I found this Google mocking page (via swissmiss) that displays Google’s knowledge (whatgoogleknows.com)in large Helvetica – or is it Arial -letters. Now that they have the Google Chrome browser, the companies list of things they will know about indivuduals surfing the web will be most likely to be bursting at the seams.

Hey, excuse me for this twitter-ish quick post, but I wanted to put it out there: I have Socialthing! invites to give away. Comment on this post, use your correct email address in the email field in the comment form and I will send it right to you.

What is Socialthing? Well, it is a way to get your digital life together. It combines your online social networking content from flickr, digg, del.icio.us, Facebook, twitter and the list of services supported is growing. For now, it is invitation based, so be quick to get a glimpse.

Update: No more invites. Support given up. Socialthing as it is now won’t change until this “new thing” will be presented. 

It’ll stay live in its current version (no matter how broken it is) until we have a comparable product on the market (which is coming). We’re also going to stop allowing new accounts to be created (this also includes new invites and outstanding invites). We just simply can’t handle new folks coming in, especially when we fully admit a lot of the experience is already broken.

But with all that, we can’t wait till you can try out the new stuff that’s on the way!

I ask you to be patient during the first few days since the theme moving turned out to be quite a pain, but totally worth it? Right?

Twitter is an online application that allows to display micro blog entries originally dealing with the important question in today’s society: What are you doing at this moment?

Obviously, starting a blog post to encourage the broad readership of today’s hip blogs is the newest things on the block, so here I am, going for it!

Ask a question – and by that I really mean any question – you always wanted to have answered by me (and not Einstein, so please spare me the scientific explanation kind of Qs) and I will do my best to find a proper answer for it.

Today I am going to reflect on a common perception that suggests that brand new way equals better way. Feel free to comment on my thoughts in numerous comments. There are two parts, so I am sure one thing is going to address your interest.

I do agree with the author, that blogging outside your community has an impact on the number of people following you inside the community. For philafication.com, it has had a postive effect, too — at least on my blog, there are about 50% international visitors.
