Would You Like To Buy That Question Mark?

Free like a birdie.

Anyone out there that hasn’t heard about Twitter? Well, you will once you come back from your expedition to the other side of the moon. With Twitter gaining popularity* the management might want to consider monetizing their oh so popular service. Just a thought I really don’t want to them to hold. Even though they’d save the NYT from going bankrupt, I’d say it should be free. Free like a birdie. Tweeting in the morning, tweeting in the evening.

*Ellen Degeneres or one of her interns even made it to the platform seeking followers and immediately knew what Twitter was all about…

  • “Facebook has friends, but with Twitter you have followers. That is the kind of relationship I’m looking for, because I have plenty of friends. [...] I’m looking for Yes-Men [...] I just want people also when I lay down to fan me and feed me grapes” Is that why we feel bad for loosing a follower and even more offended if someone quits a friendship on Facebook in an act of passive aggressiveness?
  • “My hope is we tweet each other nicely.” While that is true, we need to add a generally accepted clause for raving rants. What would Twitter be without it?
  • “My goal is to get 1 million followers by tomorrow” Who isn’t a follower whore? Often heard, but never believed, “I tweet for me, not my followers”. Yeah right, just like you blog for yourself and not the people reading it.

Her It’s All A Twitter monologue is highly recommended.

Tax Payers’ Health vs Wallstreet’s Health

Nice logic: More tax payers, more bail out money being raised.

Check out one of the latest joyoftech.com comics. It’s all about the bail-out solution the government has come up with and one – admittedly – obvious question.

How come they can fund the bail-out with a couple of billions and NOT have the money to give people universial health care? Oh right, the US doesn’t want to slip into communism… I can see that… ;)

This piece of comic is definitely one of my faves. Check out a post I published a year ago featuring all my favorite Joy Of Tech comics.

Begging For 3G

Look at this freak, his iPhone is so last year.

In late June (obviously the iPhone month in the US) a new generation of beggers has emerged. Unlike homeless people living in the streets, these people already have what they wanted. Too bad their iPhone (first generation, obviously) now is “so last year.” A point that gets rough on them. An explanation for this and even more, after the jump.

The Joy Of Geek Culture

Being a geek can be a pain in the throat during high school, but isn’t it a thing of beauty to possess some sort of geeky tendencies — in real life? Well, today I’d love to draw your attention to this hilarious comic series, The Joy Of Tech. Picking up recent Apple and Web news (Tech is the short for technology, Thank You Captain Obvious) The Joy Of Tech comics tend to make fun of our beloved Geek Culture. Yeah loving that comic makes me geeky in two ways. 1. OAD = Obsessive Apple Disorder & 2. Comics

Please check this out, it is megatively awesome and in today’s entry, I’d love to show you some of my favorite “The Joy Of Tech” comics… Continue reading

Having ordered an iPod classic black (80 gigs) and an Apple Keyboard, I recieved my two packages today. I was all excited since I haven’t ordered anything from apple in 10 months, so it felt really good to get that kick again. Apple addicts will know what I am talking about. Continue reading
