Chicago so far in three words: Urban. Beach. Deep-dish.

This city seems to have it all. All I want. Going out and chatting in a bar. Taking the architecture boat ride. Hanging out on the beach. Food! And much more. I’ve been very busy the last couple of days but I’m clearly having a really great time and can’t believe half of my time is over already. I know one thing, I’ll be back.

For a close-to-home urban vacation, it’s hard to beat the Northwest’s golden triangle of Seattle, Vancouver, B.C., and Victoria. All three cities have excellent museums and other sightseeing, and a wide choice of hotels, restaurants and nightlife.
